Christine Slater joined the HBA in March 2020 and serves as manager of the Gender Parity Collaborative. Prior to her role with the HBA, Christine worked in the pharmaceutical industry on medical affairs teams, where managed global operations including advisory boards, congresses, advocacy group engagement and corporate grants.
She is a fierce advocate for gender equity and is passionate about amplifying women’s voices and elevating their leadership. For over a decade, she was involved with the Emerge network, dedicated to recruiting, training and supporting women running for elected office. Most recently, she spent three years on the Emerge Massachusetts board of directors. Prior to that, she worked on the development team at the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center, responsible for coordinating their major fundraising events and campaigns.
Christine graduated magna cum laude from Northeastern University and studied abroad in Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Israel and Palestine. After living in Boston for 11 years, Christine recently moved to beautiful Jupiter, Florida to be closer to family and sunshine. She enjoys being outdoors, interior design and her rescue animals.
