Liz Paulson honored with 2015 Boston LEAD award

LEAD award winner Liz Paulson (R) with Buket Grau, 2012 HBA president

HBA Boston is proud to announce that Liz Paulson was selected as the 2015 LEAD (Leadership Excellence and Dedication) award winner. This award is the highest chapter honor for an individual, and is given to a volunteer selected annually by the chapter’s board of directors.

Liz has been an active member of the HBA for 10 years, and has served in roles across many areas of the organization. In addition to her upcoming term as 2016 HBA Boston president, Liz has been a member of the general programs, membership and corporate relations committees; director of the general programs committee; and has served on the executive committee as secretary, vice-president and – in a strange twist – immediate past president (when a previous president moved away, leaving a vacancy).

Board members identified several themes in selecting Liz for this prestigious award. She was recognized for stepping up to play whatever role was most needed, and for finding opportunities to make the chapter more effective, more engaging, more rewarding and more fulfilling. In the words of one board member, “Liz makes the chapter hum.” She did all this without ever seeking a spotlight and with a contagious energy and enthusiasm that made people want to join her in her pursuit of chapter excellence.

Liz was recognized at the HBA Boston end-of-year event in Cambridge in December, and at the HBA Annual Conference in Atlanta in November. In her day job, Liz is a strategic account executive with Health Market Science, A LexisNexis Company.

HBA Boston congratulates Liz on this well-deserved honor.
