HBA Boston congratulates Q3 CAP award winners

On behalf of the board of directors of HBA Boston, we would like to congratulate the following on their selection as winners of the CAP (Contribution and Participation) volunteer award for Q3 2016. This award is given to select outstanding volunteers to recognize their efforts and to thank them for contributing their time, talent and energy to help the chapter fulfill the HBA’s core purpose to further the advancement and impact of women in the business in healthcare.

Christy Tetterton, corporate relations account manager, is being recognized for her instrumental role on the CR committee, on which she has been a member for over three years. She is committed and dedicated to her work and has been successful in securing several key partners and sponsors.

Nikita Somani, mentoring program, analytics team lead, is being recognized not only for her positive “can do” attitude and critical thinking skills, but also for stepping up over the last couple of months to work on redesigning the entire mentor program application and evaluation form. The redesign required many hours of hard work and communication with the team to ensure that everyone was on the same page. It was simultaneously a mundane and enormous task, and Nikita did it with grace, patience and understanding.

The Shire HBA ambassador team is being recognized for their significant efforts and achievements: Elsie DiBella, Marcella Lynch, Delyn Long, Morgan King, Carol Becker, Susan Oommen, Marjorie McGovern, Helen Fasshauer, Courtney Bryant, Anu Davies, Danielle Doucot, Meredith Tremblay, Amina Lobban and Wei Wong. The entire team is dedicated to the mission of the HBA and always goes above and beyond what is expected to ensure a successful outcome, working together as a cohesive unit and collaborating with programming and EWS committee members regularly on event execution. The impact of the Shire ambassador team extends beyond HBA Boston as well, with the program serving as a model – with two members of the team participating in the design – of the HBA global ambassador program. The HBA is also named in new hire orientation materials as an organization that Shire supports.

The HBA Boston board of directors extends hearty congratulations and gratitude to these and all its volunteers for their hard work and dedication.
