HBA Chicago - Northern Suburbs: Message from the Board

Dear HBA Chicago – Northern Suburbs,

You may ask is that the HBA Northern Chicago? Why yes, it is. You may ask why the name change? Great question. With the launch of the HBA Chicago – Downtown chapter we wanted to make sure that women and men in the Chicagoland area knew which chapter was which and wanted the names to align. You will now have access to great programming and events in the suburbs and downtown. The HBA Chicago – Northern Suburbs board is excited to partner with a group of amazing women leaders starting the new downtown chapter. I have several colleagues that live downtown and they are always asking me why we never had a dedicated downtown group and now we do.

Let me introduce you to the new HBA Chicago – Downton chapter board:

If you are interested in learning about volunteer opportunities within the downtown chapter please reach out to Diane Simon

Since the HBA core purpose is to further the advancement and impact of women in the business of healthcare, it made me think about International Woman’s Day (IWD) which is 8 March. This year the theme is Better the Balance, better the world #BalancedforBetter. Everyone has a part to play in gender parity and everyone can participate. As you think about where you share your time, consider the HBA and consider volunteering to bring better balance to the world of healthcare. HBA Global is offering a webinar: “HBA's 2019 IWD Inspirational Exchange: Appreciating the Benefits of Elevating Other Women” on 6 March in advance of IWD so please take advantage of this offering, register today.
